They\u2019re setting up phony interviews, posting bogus job listings, and even sending fake offer letters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Their endgame?<br>They\u2019ll eventually ask for money or your financial details to \u201cpurchase\u201d equipment for a fake remote job. It\u2019s a scam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How to Spot the Fakes:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2705 <strong>Real Maxim recruiters only contact you via official emails:<\/strong> @maxim.com or @maxim.vote<br>\u2705 <strong>Official Instagram accounts:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/instagram.com\/maximmag\">@maximmag<\/a> &amp; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/maximmag_covergirl\/\">@maximmag_covergirl<\/a><br>\ud83d\udeab <strong>If you get messages from Gmail, Yahoo, or any personal email\u2014IT\u2019S A SCAM.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What to Do:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u274c <strong>Don\u2019t engage.<\/strong><br>\u274c <strong>Don\u2019t send money.<\/strong><br>\u274c <strong>Don\u2019t share personal info.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re actively working to shut these scammers down\u2014reporting fraudulent job posts and accounts, and working with law enforcement to put an end to it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you ever have doubts about a job opportunity with Maxim, reach out directly at <strong><a>support@maxim.vote<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stay sharp.
