The Maxim ICON Competition is here, and this isn’t just any modeling contest—it’s a league-based showdown where models prove their star power one round at a time. It’s all about strategy, resilience, and attitude.
Every model starts in the Rose League, the first of 10 leagues leading to the ultimate stage—the Diamond League. Each week, the Top 3 models move up, while those finishing 4th, 5th, or 6th get another shot to compete in their current league. But when it comes to Diamond League, the pressure is on—only the 1st place winner scores an exclusive interview with the judges. The 2nd place finisher stays in Diamond for another shot. All other models in every group move down one league.
Every round after Rose lasts one week, with votes resetting as new faces enter the competition. Once a model secures an interview, the competition shifts from public voting to an expert panel of judges—industry insiders who will select the strongest contenders for a high-stakes photoshoot round. When the final shots are in, one model will claim the title.
It’s a grueling competition, but for those with the talent, confidence, and fan support to push through, it’s the opportunity of a lifetime. Who will rise through the ranks and claim the crown? Stay tuned.
The champion model, our first ever Maxim ICON, will have her photos light up Times Square during New York Fashion Week September 2025.
