It’s frustrating that we even have to say this, but scammers are out there, and they’re using Maxim’s name to prey on Cover Girl models.
We’ve received reports of fraudsters posing as Maxim agents, photographers, and modeling scouts. They’ll DM you on Instagram or email you, claiming they can get you into Maxim or an upcoming magazine. Sounds like a dream, right? Wrong.
Here’s their scam:
💰 They offer to pay for your travel, photoshoot, or buy your images.
💵 They send you a bogus check for more than agreed.
⚠️ Then, they ask you to send back the “extra” money.
❌ The check bounces. You’re left broke. They disappear.
Know this:
Maxim NEVER hires outside agents to scout for photoshoots. If someone claims to be from Maxim, verify first—only Cover Girl Coordinators reach out, and they only use an @maxim.vote email. Never engage. Never send money. If in doubt, contact support@maxim.vote for confirmation.

Stay sharp, protect your grind, and don’t let scammers dim your shine.
